NEW ZEALAND PRIZE-WINNERS. By Telegraph—Press AGsociation-Copyrltht (Rec. April 2, 11.30 p.m.) Sydney, April 2. At tho Royal Agricultural Society's annual show, which was opened to-day, V. W. Fairey, butcher, of Nelson, New Zealand, won first and champion prizes for fat bullock (Durham), and also tho championship cf tlio show for a fat bullock. Tho animal weighed 23051b. Tho champion thoroughbred stallion was Sir Aymer. Tho following New Zealand awards were made in the sheep classes: — English Leicester.?.—Nam, two years and over, W. Nixon. Canterbury, 1 and champion; ram under two years, W. Nixon, 1. Ewes, over and under two, W. Nixon, 2. MR. FAIREY CONGRATULATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Nelson, April 2. Mr. F. W. Fairey, of Nelson, who gained championship honours for a fat bullock at the Sydney Royal Show, lias exhibited in this and the fat cow classes for two or three years, 011 each occasion gaining second place. Mr. Fairey has received telegrams from the Frimo Minister, congratulating him on his success, which Mr. Mackenzie describes as a splendid advertisement for tho Dominion.
