At a meeting of the committee of the Ilistings branch of the -New Zealand Farmers' Union, Jlr. Fritz Sutherland, a delegate from tlio . Slaughtermen s Union (Toimnna) urged the necessity improperly (lagging the stock sent for kill•ing for export. At certain works in New Zealand "doggy" stock were not allowed to bo killed.—it was decided "That this meeting condemns the practice of farmers sending their sheep to the freezing works in a Maggy' condition and urges upon them the necessity for sending tho sliesp in the same clean condition as-they ara sent to tho shearing sheds. Also that the various freezing companies in Hawke s Bay be written to asking them to assist in remedying the evil."
