ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
W.F.A. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE,
The usual weekly meeting of the W.F.A. was held, last evening, Mr. H. M'lieowen presiding. A letter was received from the ActingTown Clerk intimating that the Reserves Committee would receivo the proposed deputation from the W.I'.A. in connection with the allocation of grounds this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
The Rovers Cluh. was granted permission to play the Eastbrooke Club at Wanganui on Easter Saturday. A communication was received from Mr. Stuart Richardson, engineer and manager of the Corporation Tramways, In which it was stated that the question of additional cars to Miramar on Saturdays had been considered, and arrangements had been made to cater for the traffic. ft was decided to take advantage of West's and the Royal Picture Company's offer tc give an "Association football night" at the King's Theatre on the evening of June li. The question of lion, members' tickets was considered, and it was decided that 200 be printed, and sold for ss. each, these to admit the bearer to all matches. It was decided to hold a meeting of boys' coaches at the Y.M.C.A. at 7 p.m. on" April 3. Mr. B. L. Salmon reported that, with Mr. A. .1. Barnett, he had interviewed Mr. Zohrab, manager of the Ferries Co., in regard to running a steamer to Miramar and back on Saturdays. The manager replied that he would give the matter consideration, and would recommence the service if it was at all possible to do so.
The Wednesday Association intends to hold a meeting at the Y.M.C.A. at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday next to elect a delegate to the W.F.A. Committee.
