Marshall was also charged with stealing from the Mansions Private Hotel in Ghuznco Street, two diamond rings, an Elgin watch, one gold watch and chain, and one locket (J:-I5), from llort Darnell and Joseph Eilerson. On this count ho pleaded guilty , nnd we.s committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence. OTHER MATTERS. John Shannon was convicted as an idle and di.-orderly person, and was ordered to appear for sentence when culled on. Ic was stilted that Shannon had been found by night, without lawful excu.-e. ou the premises of John Murphy, 2_'l Taranaki Street.
