Ponsonby batted all the afternoon against North Shore, and made 221, Snedden scoring 101, Robinson 51, and Kavanngh 21. It was Sneddon's third century this season. Bush took five wickets tor 84, and Howden four for SG. If North Shore, who played two juniors, win this match they also win tho championship. University made 139 against Grafton (Caradus 35 not out, Ellis 31). Mason took six wickets for 30 runs. Grafton ha.ve two wickets down for 100 runs (Fryer GO not out, Horspool 20). 'Eden scored 124 against Parnell (Taylor 44, Brooke-Smith 32, Hay 24). Kerr took seven wickets for 37 Parnell havo made 100 for four -wickets (Ellis 41 not out, Wright 35). Christchurch, March 23. Perfect weather prevailed for the continuation of the final round of matches, whilst the wickets and ontfields were in perfect order. Both matches at llagley Park were very closely contested. Ricearton just got homo against East Christchurch for a two-point win, whilst St. Alhans, who appeared to be in a losing position towards the end, came with a rush and just got home. Linwood mado an unexpectedly good stand against Sydeaham, and thelatter's chance of getting a. three-point win, which will ))C required to gain them the championship, appears somewhat remote. Linwood, 278 for eight wickets (E. Perrin 71, E. Taylor GO). Dunedin, March 23. The senior cricket matches were played on capital wickets to-doy. Iu tho Dunedin v. Grange match, the former made 62 in tie first innings, and 51 in the second innings, while Grange rattled up 15G for four wickets (Malcolm 68), and declared their innings closed, securing a four-point win. Albion met Opoho and scored 255 in the first innings (JlTnrlano 211). Opoho responded with 96, and their opponents thereby secured ft two-point win. The Carisbrook A v. Carisbrook 13 match is unfinished. A team made 309 (Seideber* 192), and B team 133 for five wickets (Jones 38). The Grange Club wins the championship for the season.
