MASTERTON NOTES.

(By Tolesraph.—Specuil Correspondent.) ! Masterton, March 19. An extensive fowl run on the property of Mr. Mark Wilton, at Upper Plain, was destroyed by fire at, an early hour this morning. The building was insured for <£50 in the Norwich Union Office. Mr. Frank Dupre, who is leaving Masterton for Sydney, was tho recipient of a presentation to-night from tho members of the Masterton Bowling Club. His Worship the Mayor and tho chairman of tho local bodies in this district have been invited to bo present at the laving of the foundation-stone of the new Parliament Buildings in Wellington on Saturday next.
