SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for moderate to strong northerly winds, veering to westerlies and increasing southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Unsettled and cloudy weather with rain probable generally, and a further decrease in harometric pressure. The barometer hag fallen everywhere, and the winds have changed to northerlies. lucreas'ng hazo and cloudiness is reported genorally, and with showery weather about Cook Stra't. D. 0. BATES. Palmorston North, March 14.—Rain has been falling nearly the whole day, and appears to havo set in for the night. Wanganui, March 14.—Dull day, with heavy .waking showers. Hastings, March 14—To-day has been dull and close. Otalti, March 11—Showery; rainfall to 9 a.m., for past 24' hours. .OOSin.
