SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.
. « The anniversary celebrations of the Sydney Street Primitive Methodist Sunday School were continued on Wednesday evening, when.there wss a largo attemlance at the annual tea-mretinir. Tho entertainment, which was held subsequently, was presided over by the superintendent, Mr. J. H. Hnddon, who. also delivered a short address. Koeitations were given by Ailcen Coad, Ethel .lames, Vera Collins, Eva Henderson, Masters Bert Kteptoe, Leslie and Colston Swift: solos by Hisses Gladys Currie, Eva Henderson, and Kita Coad,' nnd'ft duet was rendered bv Misses D. and J. Nicholas. Cndcr the baton of Mr. P. Cutforth, (lie scholars mid choir contributed choruses in a capital manner. Misses Jean Nicholas and Mabel Coad presided at the organ and The annual report submitted by the piano respectively. secretary, Mr. .). Cable, disclosed that good progress had besu made in the various departments. There were 80 scholars on the roll, hi the New Zealand Primitive Methodist examination 13 scholars had passod, whilst in tho 'Wellington V.nion examination 15 scholars were successful. Tho financial statement, read by Mr. C. Coad, showed the income to bo .£3B 12s. Id., and the expenditure JU33 17s. 7d., leaving a credit balance of £1 Its. lid. In addition to the aforegoing, tno sum of .£1!) lis. :td. had been collected for the New Zealand Homo Missions, and for collecting £11 10s. of this amount Miss draco Coad 'was awarded a gold medal. At an interval the Kev. P. .1. Cossum presented the annu.il prizes. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. P. Cutforth for his services as conductor.
