J'he> champion was placed in a carriage along with the Mayor arid tho member for tho district, and drawn through the town by tho members of the Firo Brigade, Boy Scouts, and school cadets. A halt wns niado in front of tho Post Office, where congratulatory addresses were delivered by (lie Mayor, the member for the district, i'.'nd Majors Nelson and Stevenson, and replied to by Private Lovcday.
