MORE FREQUENT SERVICE GIVEN. At the meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council on Saturday evening, the Mayor (Mr. H. W. Shortt) reported the result of his negotiations with the Harbour Perry Company. While- the company could not agree to roductiens in its schedule of fares, it agreed to increase the service bv the addition of a regular lata boat froin Wellington at 10.15 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, in addition to the present steamers running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. It also agreed to a modification of the fares chargeable for these late boats (except on tho Saturday .steamer). On the 7 p.m. boat to town the usual tickets (casual and season) will be accepted. On tho 10.15 p.m. boat from town, an additional fare of sixpence will bo payable.
