SOME STRAY NOTES.
THE DAY OF THE HOISTEIX. The amount of feed in paddocks from which the Belvedere and Dalefield Cheese Factories are supplied is, says our travelling correspondent, simply splendid, the sheep men say there is too much grass altogether. Holstein cattle are becoming much in evidence, the familiar black and White coats being seen on most of the dairy farms. Holstein-Jersey and Hol-stein-Ayrshire crosses are in favour—some say the one, some say the other is tho best; tho main thins is to be satisfied, whatever the breed is.
