Wilson is one of the hesl-knmvn veterans on the range, and is noted for the methodical mid painstaking care with which he records his shooting. It is related of him that on one occasion, at bisley, his notebook and data recording scores, wind, elevation, light, etc., was accepted as evidence in a protest, which was adjudicated upon by Itajor-General Lord Cheylesmoro in the famous ["mbrella Tent. He was a member of the team (Woodvillc Rifles team) which held the unbeaten record at 200, 50n, and IiOO yards with the old M'irtini rifle. George Loveday, of Ohura (father of tho youngster who is leading for tho championship to-dny.i, was also a member of that team.
