IN OUR MILITARY CONTROL , , COL. ROBIN GOES HOME- ; OTHER COMMANDS ALTERED, .Great changes are now announced in the control of the military districts of 'Auckland, Otago, arid Canterbury. The following important appointments havo been approved, and will take effect from tlio dates mentioned in each case:— 'Lieutenant-Colonel A. Bauchop, CIM.G., to command tho Otago Military District, vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary colonel) V. S. Smyth, on the expiTdtion of the term of appointment of the latter, and to havo the temporary xank of colonel while so employed. Appointment as from July 10. Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary colonel) V. S. Smyth to command the Canterbury Military District, vice LieutenantColonel J. 10. Hawkins, deceased, and to retain the temporary rank of colonel while so employed. Appointment as from July 10, 1912. Lieutenant-Colonel W. F. Abbott, D.5.0., to command the Auckland Military District, vico Lieutenant-Colonel .G.~"C; B. Wolfe, on the expiration of tho term of appointment of - tho latter, and to" havo the temporary rank of colonel whilo so employed. Appointment a 9 from June 20, 1912. Colonel A. W. Robin, C.8., C.M.G., T.D., Adjutant-General to the Forces, to temporarily represent tho Dominion at tho headquarters of the Imperial General Staff, War Office, London, in accordance with tho agreement entered into by the overseas Dominions at the recent Imperial Confsronco that each should send a i senior officer as their representative. To take effect as from Juno 20, 1912. Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary colonel) G. ! C. B. Wolfo to bo Adjutant-General to tho Forces (temporary) during the absence , from tho Dominion' of Colonel Robin, and to retain the temporary rank of colonel while so employed.
