. —« SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for heavy rain in many parts of the country,! and imsettbd weather generally—thunderstorms in parts. Northerly winds will probably veer to high westerlies northward of Kawhia and East Ca-pe; moderate to strong easterlies, backing to south-easterlies, and increasing elsewhere. Th 3 barometer has a falling tendency, hut will probably rise everywhere after from ten to sixteen hours. The barometer ha 3 fallen everywhere, with modcrata to strong: northerly winds. Warm, cloudy, and unsettled weather has prevailed, with rain in the northern districts and in Westland. & Meteorological Office, Wellington, March 6, 1912.
