C'lilross, the promising sister to Culprit, has been leased by Messrs. Stead Bros, lo Mr. E. S. Luttroll. The latter formerly raced Aphaea, who won a selling raco at Kiccarton.

The Trentham-trained Effort was sent south on Thursday. At the conclusion of the hurdl.e race at Now Plymouth on Thursday, Silver Cluso was purchased by the Auckland owner, Mr. .T. Gray has been engaged to ride Bon Ton in tho ■Champagne Stakes and Mumnra 'in the Dunedin Cup. Emerson will ride Countermine, Gapon, Mnhuri, and Brown Owl in their engagements. It was a splendid close to the meeting, and will bo discussed in sporting circles for some time to come.
