The name-board -of the schooner Paris has been.'washed up on the beach near Newcastle, settling all doubts as to the identity of the dcrelict found floating bottom upwards off Catherine Hill Bay a few days ago. It is supposed that- the Paris was capsized on Friday night during a heavy gale. She left Forster (sixty-seven miles nortli-east of Newcastle) on February 3 for Sydney, but was not afterwards signalled. Tho derelict at present constitutes a menace to navigation, and arrangements are being made to destroy it.
