ACCOUNTANCY EXAMINATIONS.
SPECIAL PRIZES A WARDED. The council of the New Zealand Society of Accountants has awarded ■ (lie special prizes which it decided to grant to the lirst three candidates in order of merit in the subjecls of book-keeping and accounts (advanced) and auditing (advanced), and to the first three candidates in order of merit in the subjects of bookkeeping and accounts (elementary) and auditing (elementary). Those mx candidates are to l>e recorded a> having, pas'ed with honours. The following have liccti awarded the prize- in order of merit:— Advanced Section.—First prize of -C 5 55.: .1. W. Mackisark. Elementary Section.—First prize, of ,£3 fls.: .1. W. S.mfcaton, 4S Hanover Street, Duncdin. Second prize, of .£2 25.: C. H. Hawker, 4 Montreal Street, Sydenham, Curistcliurch. Third prize, of ,£'l Is.: F. T. Davis, care box 101, Napier. Nine candidates passed in all mx subjects of the final examination, and theso only are eligible for membership of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. In order of merit Ihev are a.s follow:—.!. P.
