Y.M.C.A. OLD BOYS' CLUB.
* On Thursday the usual weekly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Old Boys' Club was held, and a most enjoyable time'was spent. ■ ■ A do-" bate on whether tho recent tramway" ftriko was justifiable or not was tho order of tho evening, Messrs. Baker, Cqad, and Sclater taking up llic affirmative, and Messrs. Lay, Smith, and J<onnox tlio negative. After good arguments on both fides, the chairman of the club declared Messrs. Baker, Coad, aud Sclater to bo (ho winners of the contest. Before tho usual meeting a Bible Class was held, and it is to bo coutimied every Thursday from 7.1)0 to S p.m., the subject now being taken up being the life of St. Paul. Kext Thursday the members of tho cluT) have been invited to spend the evening at Mr. Kersley's. residence, and by this means it is hoped to bring tho old boys into closer touch with members of tho Board of Management.
