Feng-Kuo-Chang, the commander of tho Imperial Guards, has persuaded tho Manchu troops to join tho Republic. Prominent Imperial generals havo telegraphed to the Republican generals that all are now brothers, and further bloodshed is useless. STILL WILLING TO RESIGN. DR. SUN YAT SEN'S POSITION. (Rec February 5, 10.30 p.m.) Nanking, February 5. Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the Provisional President, in on interview, declared that he would resign immediately if Yuan Shih Kai declared himself Republican. Ho added that the Provisional Government should continue in office for a year, but was prepared to delegate its authority to Yuan Shih Kai for the control of tho northern provinces.
