SUPPORTS THE COUNCIL IN FIRM--NESS. At a meeting of the executive of Die newl.wormcd Citizens' League on Saturday merning, the following resolution was passed:— "That this meeting of the executive of the Wellington Citizens' League hereby supports the City Council in its attitude in declining to make any iurthor concession in the present tramway negotiations, and is fullv in accord with a firm attitude in prototing the interests of citizens as a whole as against Hie demands of any particular section, and that the league take active steps towards (he above objects."
