The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association has asked to bo made a party to the new championship agreement. to be drawn up at a conference of' swimming associations to be held in Adelaide shortly, with'the concession of the privi-. leget hat the Dominion need only be represented at championship metings every other year. Atkins presided. .It was decided, to ask the Wellington Centre of the.Royal life-saving. Society, to' nominate a team to .represent Wellington in the contest for the.Wigram. shield.,. The newly-formed J?alniorston North Club was approved for affiliation, and permission was given for norao of. its' members to compete at the Wairarapa Club's gala on January 22. The polo matches on January 27 are to bo played at Tc ArV Baths. The fixtures are as follow-,—Senior: Thorndon v. Swifts; Wellington v. Old Boys! Junior: Swifts v. Welling«)n;T.M.C.A.- v. Old Boys; and Worser Bay v. Thorndon. The Swifts Ladies' Club was given permission to hold a carnival on February. • 17. The schoolgirls' championship was allotted to the club. ■'"»-..■■ Application was' made .by tho Star Boat- - in'g Club to hold a swimming meeting on February 3. As' the Thorndon Club is to have a carnival' on that date it was decided to ask the applicants to find another date. ' .
