SALVATION ARMY.
THE OLD SYSTEM'AND THE NEW. (Ci TelceraDh.-Prcss Association.) Christcliurch, January 18. Colonel Fisher, Financial Secretary of the Salvation Army in Australasia, has arrived in Christcliurch. to make arrangements in connection with the reorganisation of the Army in New Zealand. Colonel Fisher states that under the old arrangement the Dominion had only two headquarters, one at Christchurch and one at Wellington. Under the new system, however, Now Zealand would be divided into four provinces with headquarters in each chief centre. This alteration has been brought about preparatory to n. greater change when a commissioner will take over the control of the whole work in New Zealand. Hitherto the oflicor-in-charge in New Zealand has been responsible to Australasian headquarters at Melbourne, but under the' new scheme Now Zealand will be autonomous and responsible to the headquarters, in London. Colonel Fisher leaves for the north to-mor-row night.
