Miss Elizabeth Augusta, Magan, an eccentric resident of Dublin. She had a passion, the Master of tho Rolls said, for accumulating treasure and placing these, bank-notes,- gold, tilver, and precious goods of every description, in flower pots and vases, among waste- j paper baskets, underneath stairs, and j car pels. I Mr. Samuels, K.C., stated that death | and siKoeNsion duties had swallowed up an enormous amount* of the assets. On i Ihe death of Miss Magan over .£14,000 i had to be paid in this way.
