The \<nv Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Palnierslon North, report :—At i'ahnerston North, oil Thursday, n Rood entry of cattle met with a keen demand, practically all lines were sold at prices in favour of vendors. We quote:— tt'eancrs. medium, 265. to 295.; do. good. 325. 6(1. to 355.; do. extra good. £2 Os. 6d. to £2 Bs.; 15-months heifers, £3 6s. 6d.; 15months steers, £i os.: two and a half-year steers, £i 2s. Gd.; ng;d cows, £2 5,. to £2 9s. 3d.; store cows. £3 12s. to £3 135.; forward cows, £4 7s. to £4 12s. 6d.: eight Tat cows, £4 15s. to £5; heifers in calf, £4 ss. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—At Shannon yesterday we had a fair yarding of sheep, and a. pood yarding of cattle. All cla-ses sold well up to late rates, and very little went out unsold. Four-tooth wethers. 13s. 7(1.; two-tooth wethers, 12s. 6d.: two-tooth ewes, 12s. £d.; two-tooth wethers, small. 9s. 6d.: three-year bullocks, £6 Is. 6d.: two and a half-year steers, £5 25.; fat and forward heifers, £5; 18-montlis steers. £3 155.: !5-mont.hs steers. £2 17s. to £2 195.: cows and calves. £4 65.; heifers in calf. £3 Us.; springing heifers, £5 65.; yearling heifers, £2 (Is. 6(1.; weaners, 255. to 275. 6d.; bulls, £3 13s.
