"He's bowling in. the tournament!" "Yes, 1 know, but he asked ma torinp you up and send down a coat—c-o-a-t!'* "What does lie want a, coat for—lio's bowling!" "I know tliot—but you see it's raining hero, ond he wants his coat—to keep the rain ofi!" . . "Hut he can't be bowling if its raining, besides he's got his.coat. I wouldn't let him leave homo without a coat." "Yes—but lie asked mo (oh, dear) to ring up and ask you to send down his coat a* he is playing in the rain—no. , lo l_ tV pll he lias to stand in the rain part of tlio time when he lias to play his bowl—whal's that" "His waterproof?" ' "Oh, good-byo!" and the official hung up the rccoivor with if sigh of relief.
