Wedding at Kent Terrace. Oil January 2, at the Kent Terraeo Presbyterian Church, a.' quiet wedding was celebrated, when lliss Cissie M'l'hio Newman,' youngest daughter of Mr. A. Newman, of Dover, Kent, England, was married to Mr. T. M'Giilivray, youngest son of Mr. W. M'Giilivray, of Inverness. Scotland. The bride was given, away by Mr. Angus M'Giilivray, brother of the bridegroom, and was attcnik-d by tho Misses M. Campbell and C. Mackintosh, as bridesmuids. /I'lio Rev. J. A quiet wedding was Bolemnised at Waikanae on Tuesday, January 9, when Mr. Tom Mason, second sou of Mr. Samuel Mason, of Manakau, was married to Miss Stella Austin, second daughter of Mr. J. Austin, of Waikanae. The bride was ■ attired in an empiro gown of whito silk crepe, and was attended by two bridesmaids—tho Misses Tennent and Eileen Austin. Mr. Walter Warren was best man, and tho Rev. J. Edwin Jones performed tho ceremony. Wedding at Wanpanui. A very pretty wedding took plaoe on Tuesday, t January 2, at Christ Church, when Jliss. Florence Maud Falkner, eldest daughter of Mr. J. W. Falkner, of "Sandy Cove,'" was married to Mr. Rex NoUsan, only soil of tho late Mr. J. Notman (secretary of the Wanganui Harbour Board and D.0.A.). Tho ceremony was performed by the Rev. 11. Reeve. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wis attired in a trained gown of ivory 6atin chafmeuse; caught at tho waist by b wide scarf of white ninon, edged with lace. Tho corsage was embroidered with pearls, . and a largo hoiseshoo of pearls was the left.-sido of the train.. Her afianged over a coronet of orango blossoms, and sho carried a shower bouquet of w:hito flowers. The chief bridesmaids, Miss Alma Falkner (sister) and Miss Kathleen Owen (cousin of the bride), were gowned in turquoise eolinne veiled with Empire tunics of white dewdrop chiffon, caught with silk girdles. They woro. hats of whito lace, lined with blue silk, and carried Directoiro sticks tied with bluo ribbons. Littlo Doris Fuikmer and Keitha Wright were frocked in white embroidered muslin, with whito straw 'hate, trimmed with bluo silk rosettes. They also carried whito and blue sticlis. Mr. J. R. Hughes, of Wellington, officiated as best man, and Mr. S.. Ealkner, brother of the bride, was groomsman. After the wedding a reception was held at Dustin's Tea Rooms, at' which a large number of relatives and friends woro present. Mrs. J. W. Falkner received in a dark bluo tailor-made, trimmed with silk, and a saxe blue toque. Mrs. Notman, mother of tho bridegroom, wore a grey costume, braided with black, and a grey hat. Other relatives present included Mr. and Mrs. E. Liffiton and Miss Liffiton, Mrs. Dr. Owen (Raetihi), tlio Misses Notman, and Miss Hurley, of Wellington. During tho afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Rex Notman left for Wellington, tho bride's going-away. costume being a brown tailov-mado, braidod with black, and a largo black hat, lined with emerald green and finished with rosettes of 6amo. The bridegroom's prpsonts to tho bridesmaids were silver-backed brushes and combs, and to tho bride a beautiful gold bangle. Feilding Notes. . Saturday was a glorious day for tennis and the courts were well patronised. Mrs. Lawson and Miss Shannon provided afternoon tea, and among those attending were: Mosdames Walker, Montgomery, Ilill, Knyvott, Redmayno, Guthrie, Misses Hill, O'Halloran, 'Shannon, Bruce, Spain and others. i \ Miss F. Spain is staying at Oamaru, and Miss Broad (Greymouth) has boon visiting Mrs. Fotch. Mrs. Kingdon lias g<ono to Nelson. 'Mrs. Miles has returned from Wanganui. Mrs. Tombes (Wellington) has boon staying with Mrs. Atkinson, and Mrs. Wost (Wellington), who has been staying with Mrs. Gillespie, returned to Wellington last week. _ , : Mre. H. Stewart is visiting frienda at Brunswick. Mrs. Harrison who has been stavinr with Mrs. Peat lias returned to Wanganui. Mrs. Giesen is staying in Wellington. Mrs. Cottorill and her daughter are spending the holidays at Masterton. Mrs. Woollams and family have gone to the sea-side for a few wcoks. Mrs. Prior is staying at Rona Bay. Mrs. Grut has returned from Wellington. . Miss Johnson (Cheltenham) has gone to Christchr.rch, and Miss E. Bmoe has also gone south. Mrs. W. Stewart (Wanganui) has been staying with friends in Feilding. Mrs. Mnckay has gone initio tho country to stay with Mrs. Fry. Dr. and Mrs. Johnston and family aw leaving shortly for a trip to England, and Mm. Trcwin has returned from tho'. south. Miss MUcalh, (Wonganm) has been staying with Mrs. Seymour. The Rev. Innra Jones and Mrs. Innes Jones and flaimily havo returned from Otaki after tu absonco of Bevcral weeks.
