EXHIBITION SHEAVES AND SEED SAMPLES. According to a circular issued to cooperative experimenters by Mr. G. do S. Baylis, Fields Instructor for tho North Island to tho Agricultural Department, the Department is,desirous of obtaining representative sheaves of wheat, oats, and ( barley, of the various varieties grown in various districts, and also about 25 lb. Baihples of tho corn for . exhibition at winter shows and elsewhere. Swedes, mangolds, lucerne hay, ' lucerno plants showing tho length of root, sheaves of maizo, and samples of .maize cobs, peas, ctc., might also bo acceptable. Mr. Baylis asks if any experimenter, who has a good crop and would bo willing to set asido a few good specimens for show purposes, would'communicate with,him at PalmerNorth,' in order that a selection may to'made for exhibition purposes.
