A good many peaches camo to hand during tho woek, but the supplies were not as heavy as last week, and prices advanced a little. Choico lots from llawko's Bay sold at from (is. to 7s. por case, other sorts bring 2s. to 4s. Gd. according to sample. '.Dessert' plums mado 4s. to 4s. Gd. per case, and chcrry plums 2s. Gd. to 3s. Motueka fruit is coining in fairly welL Peaches brought 2s. Gd. trf 3s. Gd. pef case, and now season's cooking apples ss. 6d. por case, whilst dessert mado Gs. to Gs. Gd. per case. Apricots wero sold at ss. Gd. to Gs. per case, and nectarines ss. to Gs. Strawberries from Auckland arrived in pool ordei for thn most part, and yielded 9d. to Is. per lb. Lower Hutt strawberries brought Is. 3d. to Is. Bd. per bos.. Grapes mado Is. 4d. to Is. sd. per lb., cucumbers 2d. to 4Jd. each,. black currants Gs. to 7s. a case, raspberries Gs. to 7s.'bneket, gooseberries ss. case. Klinbarb sold at 3s. per- dozen. Very few outside tomatoes aro' coming in from Nelson owing to the lateness of tho season. Yesterday's valuos were 9s. to 12s. por case. Lower tlutt liothousegroivn samples brought 7d. to Old. per lb. There has been a slightly improved demand for vegetables, prices ruling as under:—Potatoes (in heavy supply), 3s. Gd. to 4s. Gd. per cwt.; onions, £li per ton; cabbages, 3s.
