BRADFORD WOOLCOMBERS, DECISION OF MASTERS. (Rec. January 9, 11.25 p.m.) London, January 9. The Bradford masters have resolved upon a lock-out unless tho woolcombers resume on Wednesday. It was also decided not to renew the agreement to secure labour through the Operatives' Union, asserting that a year's trial had proved this method a failure. Henceforth they would, roquiro unionists and non-unionists to work together. COTTON TRADE DISPUTE. MEETING AT ACCRINGTON. (Rec. January 9, 11.25 p-ni.) London, January 9. A mass meeting at Accrington adopted a resolution declaring that while the cotton operatives should be members of. tho union, tho question of non-unionists should not be made tho cause of a strike. It was decided to request the leaders to secure a settlement. DISCHARGE NOTE SYSTEM. (Rec. January 9, 11.25 p.m.) London, January 9. A conference of the Shipbuilders' Federation and tho Workmen's Federation, held at Carlisle, mutually agreed to discuss tho discharge note system on January 18, provided the strikers resume work. POSTMEN'S DEMANDS. (Rec. January 9, 11.25 p.m.) London, January 9. The Postmen's Federation have formulated demands for submission to a Select Committee. They include an eight hours' day, increased recognition of unions, a wages standard based on tho cost of living, and the restoration of civil rights.
RAILWAY STRIKE IN WEST AUSTRALIA.
(Rec. January 10, 1,5 a.m.) Perth, January 9. Owing to tho refusal of the Railway Commissioner to grant the demands of the engineers and ironworkers employed by the Department for an increase in pay, they have ceased work. About ono thousand men are out. So far the transit and signal employees are not affected. STRIKE IN BUENOS AYRES. Buenos Ayres, January 8. Tho masters havo accepted, but tho railway men havo rejected, the Jlinistor for the Interior's intervention, oiid a widespread strike has begun for increased pay and shorter time. The striko seriously impedes the movement of the new wheat crop.
