Apparently tho weather has had th« effect of curtailing tho flow of country visitors to town. Yesterday tho managers of several leading drapery establishments expressed themselves as being satisfied with tho business transacted up to lust Saturday night, but hardly so afterwards. There seems, iu fact, to havo been a somewhat noticcablo falling-off, la ordinary circumstances the week between Christmas and the New Year is a brink time, for it is then that country patrons do a good deal of city shopping. That lias not been the caso this year.
