Details revealed in connection with the meat packers' trials at Chicago show that in 1002 a plan was arranged to mergo the Armour, Swift, and Atorris interests, with a view to controlling tho United States meat industry. A capital of Ji'IOO.OOO.OOO was involved. Tho plan was abandoned as unworkable at that time.
