FIGHTING IN TRIPOPI.
ITALIANS DEFEAT THE TURKSTWO CNGAGEMENTS. (Rcc. December 23, 0.20 a.m.) Tripoli, December 23. The Italians bare defeated 11000 Turks and Arabs beyond Alzanj. The latter occupied ;m oasis, and maintained a. hot tire, only being dislodged with heavy loss. Tho Italian casualties were six killed and 80 wounded. Two thousand Turks and Arabs attacked tlio defences of Dorna, but were repulsod after a severe fight with a threefold heavier force.
FORTY NATIVES EXECUTED. Berlin, December 21. The newspaper "National Zeitung" states that the Italians executed forty natives for carrying arms in tlio oasis near Tripoli. THE OCCUPATION OP SOLUM. Rome, Deoomber 21. The newspapers approve of the British occupation of Solum, the port on the boundary between Tripoli and Egypt. The French occupation of Bilma, an oasis at the southern extremity, of the desert of Sahara, is facilitating the repression of contraband in arms. A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE. » ME.
