FEATHERSTON. The monthly meeting of tlio Featherston County Council was held oii ■Wednesday. ' Permission was granted to the .Motor Association, to erect it platform bridge oyer Abbott's Creek on (he Rinmaka Jtond. Owners of strav bulls arc to be prosecuted in future. This is the outcome of the district ranger having impounded hve bulls during the past month. His .report, showed:—lmpounding?, 24 cattle, 5 bulls, and IS horses. Plans are to be prepared for the improvement of the Kimntaka Bond, unci tenders are to be called for the removal of the old Waibcngu Bridge. Arrangements are to bo made for the use of the Maslerton Borough Council's steam roadroller. Employees' holidays will date from December 22 to January 8. The owner of the "T.ongwood" Estate is to be called upon to form the roads in the subdivision of (hat estate. A special rate of 1-lotti of a penny in the .£1 was struck lor the Waihenga Bridge Loan. The new ferro-cowrctu bridge at Wailuriiga, over the liuamahunga Bivor, is to lie officially opened about the middleof January. the exact dale to bo fixed at next meeting of the council. FEILDING.
