APPEAL FOR SEAFARERS.
The. missioner for the. Wellington Missions to Seamen writes as folloirs:—"All tho"bo.vs will bo home, and wc' hto lookin? forward to a. very happy Christmas." In many hundreds of homes in New Zealand this statement, or a similar one, will be made. In the midst of all your happiness wc ask you to give a thought' to a class r.f men who are, by their calling; so much away from home, and who rarely have the opportunity of spending a Christmas with their families, ivi want you to think of the sailors who will be iu our midst this Christmas. In previous years the luissionor and workers of the MisMon to Seamen have arranged picnics and social gatherings for sailors in port. Wc propose to do the same this year, but our efforts will depend on the help given to us. Will you help by sending a donation or a gift in kind? ill gifts, large or small, will be acknowledged by the Jlissioner, Missions to Seamen, Wfiitmoro Street.
