ALMOST A FREE FIGHT.
6 A DISORDERLY PARLIAMENT. By Telecrinti—Press Association-Oonjriirhl Sydney, Decombcr 19. During tho disorder in the Legislative Assembly last night, when Mr. Wade left the Chamber, the Oppositionists gathered round the Speaker's chair and hooted and shouted uncomplimentary remarks. The Speaker tried to call the Sor-geant-at-Arms, hut was unable to make his voice heard above tho din. The Minister for Mines (Mr. Edden) gave the Speaker a hand, assisted him from the chair, and escorted him from the Chamber. The Oppositionists then gathered in the lobby. Several had their coats off, and a free fight seemed imminent. All were wildly excited. A solid phalanx of Ministerialists, how. ever, escorted Mr. Willis in safety to his room. The Premier (Mr. M'Gowen) played n prominent part in preventing violence. Mr. Colly pushed his way to the front and forced (lie quarrellers apart by tho exercise of his great physical powers. The House has adjourned until February.
