SHAREBROKER IN CUSTODY.

THE .NATURE OF THE CHARGE. (E? Tolcgraph-rrcss Association.) : Auckland, December 19". Jamds Scott Lennox, a sharcbroker, about 31 years of age, was arrested at .1 p.m. to-day ou a charge "that, being a person adjudicated bankrupt at Auckland on August 9, 1911, ho has, by rash arid hazardous simulation, brought about his bankruptcy." Tho warrant was issued on information laid by the Official Assignee (Mr. W. S. Fisher), under Section 138 of tho Bankruptcy Act, and Lonnox was taken into custody. Ho was Afterwards brought before Mr. E. C. Cuttcn, S.M., and charged with ths offence. A remand was granted, bail being allowed. When the case comes before the Court again on December 27 another remand will be applied for, as tho investigations into Leunox's books, which havo been proceeding since Avigust last, havo still to be completed.
