HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The final meeting for this year of the. Hutt Borough Council was held last evening, and was attended bv the Mayor , (Mr. K. P. Bunny) and " Councillors Knight, Hodgins, Hawthorn, Kempthorne, Cloudon, Roots, Stevenson, Ball, aud Hobbs. It ..was resolved to take action for the recovery of a percentage of the takings in regard to the. local recreation ground. It was pointed out by the clerk that, contrary to agreement, no senior matches had been nlayed on the ground last season. The Hutt Valley Tramway Board, replying to a communication from the council, stated that as scon as the rates due were recovered the board would meet and thr-ir affairs would be wound up.
