THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for warm, hazy, and unsettled weather, threatening electrical disturbances, generally. Yariable winds—moderate to strong westerlies prevailing northward of East Cape, Taupo, and New Plymouth, and southerly and south-easterly winds elsewhere. Tho barometer is very unsteady, and conditions about East Cape are somewhat threatening for the East Coast and North Island. The present state of affairs is critical and changeable. The weatlver has been warm and humid in tho uorth, with mist and drizzling rain in tho Auckland Province, o.nd showers in Southland and other parts. A thunderstorm was reported in tho 6outli this afternoon. The barometer has been unsteady, and moderate to strong westerly winds havo predominated. D. 0. BATES.
