A highly attractive concert programme is announced to l>e presented by tho eminent tenor, Mr. Philip Nowbury, nt the Town Hall on Saturday evening next. On that occasion a concert devoted almost entirely lo> popular operatic music will be presented. Mr. Newbury, who appeared to such splendid advantage in "Faust" on Tuesday evening, will siiig! "Yes, Let Me Like a Soldier Fall" (from "Maritana"), "On With tho Motley" (from "I Pagliacci"), "Thy Tiny Hand is Frozen" (from "La Bohemc"), "My Raptured Gaze" (from "Martha"), ne will also be associated with Miss Rita Lyons in the duet from the garden scene in "Faust," "The Hour is Late." Miss Lyons is to sing that beautiful operatic, aria, "Bel Reggio," from "Pomiraiuide" (Rossini), and Mr. Hugh 'Wright will sing "Kven Bravest Heart May Swell," , from "Faust." It is rare indeed that such a string of operatic pearls is frund in tho one programme, and as the prices have been fixed to suit the many, the Town Hall should be taxed to capacity. This will bo the last apppuraneo of Mr, Newhury prior to his departure from Wellington.
