In the distanco can bo seen tho site of tho proposed Federal capital of Yassberra, which will he built on some low hills overlooking tho nbovc-menlioncd plain. In appearance tho cadets aro smart and soldier-like, well set up, and generally of good physique." Colonel Heard was given to understand Hint since tho commencement of their training last Juno their physical development has improved very considerably. "They certainly looked a very luNillny body of young men, and dn credit to IJicir instruction.' ho says. "Knell cadet occupies a separate room," in which habits of orderliness are inculcated by his being obliged to keep articles of his equipment and kit in definite places. The dining-hall is large and airy, and a well-appointed kitchen adjoins it. A recreation room is to Iks added later. They work strenuously during the week, and on Saturday have a half-holiday. Notwithstanding their hard work they appear quite happy, and contented with their lot."
