THE DOMINION ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Management Commit tee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was held at the secretary's oilier:, Xalhan'.s liuildings, last evening. In the. absence of Mr. !■'. 11. B. Fisher, Mr. G. A. Hurley occupied the chair. It was decided to approve the dates (February 16 and 17) lor the Palmorstoii North tournament, and January 1 and 2 for tho Pnbiatua tournament. Arrangements were made to meet Messrs. iiico and Kitiston, the remaining Australian members of the Davis Cup team, who arrived by the Moana to-day. Owing to the difficulty experienced in getting a team together, the Australian ladies' team that had been invited to attend will not visit New Zealand. His Kxcellency the Governor has notified his intention of being present at some of the championship matches. The secretary was given power to complete championship arrangements. He leaves for Christchurch on Monday, December 18. . - _ . Entries for the championship events close on December 18, and it is expected t hiit some of the best players in the Dominion will take part. • ■ THE DAVIS CUP. (By Telegraph '- Press' Association.) ' . Christchurch, December 12. Details are wolf in hand for the Davis Cup lawn-tennis contest, which will be commenced o:i December 29 at Lancaster Park. The Davis Cup sub-committee of the Australasian Lawn Tennis Association met last night (Mr. 13. .T. Ross presiding), and dealt with a number of minor matters. The stands at Lancaster Park are lieing completed .and numbered, and some idea may now be had of their great-seating capacity. The teams are practising assiduously, and their endeavour is principally to get into condition, as thev are already piasters of their strokes. Kice, of the Australasian team, will arrive on Thursday, and Duulon on the following Thursday, coming from Pvdncv to Auckland by the Maheno, due to leave Sydney to-morrow.
