THE SHIP QTJEKN ELIZABETH. Something like a record is to be credited to the British-owned skip Queen Elizabeth, which is 56 days out bound to Wellington and Sydney from New York with a big consignment of case oil. The record ifi associated with her arrival and dcrmrtures end her engagements" to the Vacuum Oil Company. It teems that for three years in succession she has lert Great. Britain about the same date, reaching New York each year about the 6ame time. On the three occasions she has loaded case oil for the Commonwealth, and was dispatched from New York during the month of October on each occasion. In 1909 she discharged at Melbourne, arriving there on January 17. and the following year discharged at Sydney, which port she arrived at on January 15. Shipping identities are, therefore watching the present voyago with more than jirdlnary Merest tor. a. neat £eat oj resu-
lnrity will be accomplished should the ship reach Sydney in January, 1912. That she will do bo is unlikely, for Uio call to be made at Wellington and the time chc will take to discharge there makes it almost an impossibility for the voyago to be accomplished in the time. Mr. F. T. Fisher, late chief officer of tho Wukatipu, ban joined the Tofua in a similar capacity in place nf Mr. J. W. M'KciVio, who has resigned from the Union Company's service. Mr. 11. The Rosamond is duo at Wellington from Onehunga and New Plymouth this morning..' Sim will be dispatched for Picton, nelson, New Plymouth, and Onehunga at midnight. b On account of the Arahura arriving at "OS/port ami Grcymouth during the Christmas and New Year holidays, no cargo will be received for those two ports on December 23 and 30. Due at Sydney from London to-morrow, u shl!X*.avlll5 hl !X*. avlll stcl »mcr Mntatua has on hoard 500 immigrants for the New South n ales port. She subsequently visits Dunedin, Lytteltop, and Nelson. Jt J'- W; Miiir, who has been acting-mastcr of tho Ngaloro, rejoined thoNgahcre as chief omccr yesterday. Mr. E. Gibson, second officer of tho Ngahere, has come ashore here.
