In the Legislative Assembly to-day Mr. Wade, Leader of tho Opposition, asked if tho Premier, Mr, M'Gowen, propo-ed ti mako a statement regarding tho published correspondence between the speaker, Mr. Willis, nnd the Government. Mr. M'Gowen was nbsenl, but Mr. Hoiman, Attorney-General, said tho Premier would be' present Inter, but did not intend to make, a- statement. Mr. Wade then gave notice of motion for to-morrow that tho conduct of the Government was deserving of censure. With Mr. Wade's concurrence Mr. Hplninn arranged for the motion to be taken to-niglit.

THE MINISTRY CONDEMNED. .VIOLATION OF FUNDAMENTAL RULES. (Eec. December 12, 1.8 a.m.) Sydney, Decenbcr 11. Mr.. Wade, in tho Assembly this evening, charged Mr. ilolman with misleading tho House in the early session with regard to the proposed business by making it appe'ar that the arrangement with Mr. Willis was made only to .enable the Government to .adjust tho electoral laws nnd rearrange tho electoral boundaries,, nnd thus merely clear tho way to an appeal to the people. There was no suggestion of a direct or indirect ngi'eement. Mr. Willis should have reopened the' Case on the new development.

Mr. Wade, continuing, strongly condemned the Government for a straightout violation of the fundamental rules of responsible Government, -by entering into an arrangement with anybody. He further Condemned the Government's want of courage in departing from tho agree(DCat when made. ffhe debate is likely to be protracted.
