" Several farmers in the Mastorton. dis.trict intend putting down silos this summer, says the "Age". The value of ensilage as'a winter food for stock is being gradually appreciated by settlers.

It was mentioned at tho meeting of the -llastorlon A. and P. Association on Saturday that Mr. H. D. Vavasour, of Marlborough, intends exhibiting Shropshire Down sheep at tho February show in Jlasterton. A special judge from the Aortli for Shropshire Downs"is to be appointed. '
