« DEFECTIVE STOP VALVE. By Telegraph—Preeß Association—Conyrieht Adelaide, December 9. The Marine Board lias completed its inquiry into tho explosion on the steamer City of Lincoln, by which an engineer and fivo Lascars were killed. The board found that the accident had been caused by tho defective and neglected nature of a stop valve. Such valves, tho board held, should be specially designed with an exceptional factor for safety. No one connected with the ship was in any manner blameworthy foi the mishap.
