HOME RULE.
BOES IRELAND WANT IT? SPEECHES BY BRITISH PARTY LEADERS. MR. REDMOND WANTS NO DOLES. Bj Tcleer&Dll- Frc33 ABBOciation-OopjrlKUi (Koc. December 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 9. llr. A listen Chamberlain, Unionist M.P. for East Worcestershire, in a speecli at liristol, referred to Homo Rulo aiid declared that everybody was agreed that Ireland was happier materially than at any time previously. Why should tho good work bo interrupted? Mr. J. 11. Campbell, K.C., Unionist member for Dublin University, speaking at Hoiisolow, said tho Irish enjoyed the same lights and privileges as the English. Their real grievances were swept away by tho Land Acts. They were now more self-reliant and independent, and did not want Home Rule. Sir Rut'us Isaacs, Attorney-General, in presiding at a Homo Rulo demonstration at Hoimslow, said the Irish enjoyed tho Opposition Leader, Mr. Bonar Law, that the Government majority had been obtained on issues other than Homo Kule. Mr. John Redmond, Leader of tho Nationalist party, said Irishmen would never bo bribed by doles or coerced by imprisonment or oppression. Tho Nationalists had an indestructible nationality and a historical and national right to Home Rule. Ho added that Mr. Bonar Law was most ungrateful in complaining of the influence of the Irish vote in Great Britain becauso he owed his first election in Glasgow to the instruction of tho United Irish League.
