A meeting in London of the International Vegetable Fibre in Wool Committee supported the Eoubaix resolution, cabled on July 11. The International Congress will meet in London in May.

Important tests are progressing in closely-woven packs, entirely paper-lined, which are stated to bo a considerable improvement on those shown in the packing of colonial wool, but the chief desideratum is a perfect pack cheaper than the paperlined one recommended by the committee.

The resolution of July 11 was to the effect that a large proportion of growers did not sufficiently realise tho danger of ycgotablo matter entering the wool from inferior bags and buyers were recommended to declare that they would buy onlywools packcd.iu proper bags, commencing with tho season 1912-13.
