Before the end of its second season the widespread success of tho Hupmobile had been noised abroad Experts had come from afar to examine her wonderful little engine; dislTibutiV agencies have been established in South' America. London, in South Africa, Australia, Manila, and Japan; our export manager, UH. Dunlap, had toured abroad with the result that many of tho cities in Continental Europe now have Hupmobile representatives. Already thp Hupmobilo and its sturdv crew have crossed the American Continent. Ther havo visited Australia, and have been welcomed in Undo Sam's two colonies across the Pacific. Before they return to American shores citizens iu nearly everv important city on tho globe will have had an opportunity of judging the Hupmobilo at close range. The itinerary will cover approximately a distance of 40,000 mih«. ,'-l<> heart this expedition, Joseph R. Drake, the treasurer, and one of the founders of tho Hupp Motor Car Company, was chosen. As travelling companions he took Thomas M. Hardon and Tom Jones, a Detroit newspaper man. Not since the start of tho Glidden tour two seasons before had Detroit seen such an enthusiastic send-off as when Mayor Breitmeyer fastened an American flas to tho radiator cf the world-touring Hupmobilo and bade the adventurers 'Godspeed.'"
