This was afco taid to bo due to the smaltness of the pack, coupled with an enormous demand. Kcivs fcfuce then has revealed the fact that in place of the pack being small, it is the largest on record. The "Board of Trade Journal" of October 19 republiehes a statement from the "San Francisco Commercial ftews that this year's salmon pack on the Pacific coast of North America is e«Umated.at 5,350,000 cases, tho largest on record, including 750,000 'coses from British Columbia, 1.00p.C00 cases from Pugct Sound" 150,000 cases from Oolumbia River, 550 0M snn° 8 IIT 5 -, 00 "? 4 ot Orc E<">.
