There were two thousand spectators at Nottingham to see tho match between an English League beam and the Australasians. The Englishmen won by flvo points to three. England scored a try which was converted in the first five minutes. An oven game followed. The Australasians, by clever passing, then threatened danger. After the interval Farnsworth scored for the visitors.
